Retort Forming Film and Non-forming Film for Food Packaging

PA/EVOH/PP high barrier retort film is commonly used for packaging applications that require high barrier properties against oxygen and moisture. The main application for PA/EVOH/PP retort forming film would be in the packaging of products that undergo a retort process, such as ready-to-eat meals, soups, sauces, pet foods, and other similar products. Coextruded high barrier retort film's barrier properties against oxygen and water vapor, along with strong resistance to oils, fats, saltwater, and acids, make it suitable for such applications.

PA/EVOH/PP non-forming film can be used for applications where the packaging does not require deep draw forming, such as lidding films for trays or pouches. Non-forming films are often used as lidding films in tray-sealing applications for products like ready meals, fresh produce, snacks, and more. These films provide a barrier against oxygen and moisture to extend the shelf life of the packaged products while also providing excellent sealing properties at relatively low sealing temperatures.

• Minimum film thickness at the borders after processing: > 0.50 µm

• Organic resistance to oils, fats, saltwater (brine), and acids
